Call for collaboration to participate in the Latin American Network of Centres of Excellence in the Water Sector (RALCEA)

The call is open to research centres, centres for higher education as well as consortia of Latin American institutions that work in the water sector and have interest to participate in the framework of RALCEA project (Latin American Network of Centres of Excellence in the Water Sector).

RALCEA, Latin American Network of Knowledge Centres in the Water Sector, is a regional project financed by the European Commission and implemented by the Joint Research Centre (DG JRC, Institute of Environment and Sustainability, Unit H3). The specific objective of the project is to foster information based policy, promoting south-south cooperation in capacity development in the water sector by supporting the development of a network of knowledge centres. The project started in August 2011 and will be implemented in the Latin American Region during 4 years. The RALCEA Project will support the establishment of a network of knowledge centres in the water sector. For that purpose, a plan of activities, to better coordinate the research work of the knowledge centres and to reinforce it towards the support to the policy decision level, will be implemented. During the first year an initial identification of these Knowledge centres in water will be made. In this context the call for collaboration to participate in the Latin American Network of Centres of Excellence in the Water Sector (RALCEA) has been published on 15^th of March 2011.

The call is open to research centres, centres for higher education as well as consortia of Latin American institutions that work in the water sector and have interest to participate in the framework of RALCEA project (Latin American Network of Centres of Excellence in the Water Sector).
