ERAWATCH® provides information on national research policies, structures, programmes and organisations. The aim of this service is to support policy making in the research field in Europe, by facilitating a better knowledge and understanding of national research systems, policies and the environments in which they operate. Currently 43 countries are covered. With the service's evolution regional and other coverage is expected to increase over time.

Seven Framework Programme (FP7)
Information on the EU's research funding instrument, the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7). The 7th Research Framework Programme is the umbrella over all research-related EU activities. Over a period of 7 years from 2007 to 2013, FP7 has been established to further construct the European Research Area (ERA) and comprises four specific programmes, namely Cooperation, Ideas, People and Capacities
