The Conference’s main objective was to start a dialogue on International Cooperation Policies in Science, Technology and Innovation between MERCOSUR and the EUROPEAN UNION, in order to develop instruments and identify issues of common interest that gather sectorial challenges that come from the Bi-Regional Summit process (Latin America - European Union).

First Mesoamerican-European Meeting in Science and Technology, Mexico City, 21 November 2008 (WP3)
